Yard Work

Today was another beautiful day. It was somewhere in the 20s, warm enough to throw on a tank top and shorts and get out and do some yard work. I cut the grass, more like used the lawnmower to pick up the leaves, and used the weed whacker to get all the trimming done before the snow flies. I had company outside, she wasn't much help but she sure enjoyed the gorgeous day.

Abbie my little helper, she did a fine job of guarding her leaf!

  5. Yep, I "rake the leaves" with the mower, too...at least the leaves that haven't blown across the street into the neighborhood jerk's yard. Love the John Prine playing in the background. Paradise fits real well in these parts.

  7. Thanks Dawn and I agree, it's wonderful to be outdoors with this unexpected +20 something weather, I'm loving it! And a very happy weekend to you as well. :-)

Si, it was an amazing day and yup, that's my Abbie, the best leaf guard dog in the world! lol Cheers!

Rocket if the neighbors a jerk then let ALL the leaves blow into his yard, he can contend with them. Isn't it possession is 9/10ths of the law! His yard, he would then own the leaves! lol And I LOVE John Prine, real old hippie tunes and funny thing is that I was never a hippie, not then and not now! ;-)

Irina, the great outdoors and a bit of physical labour is fantastic for the soul... at least it got me away from the books for a while!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

  9. I'm sitting here tapping my toes listening to John Prine sing 'Paradise' - seems to go real well with the kind of day you had: +20 and doing fall yard work - almost feels like paradise. We had a beauty here today too: 22C and sunny.

Love that Abbie - so focused on the task at hand !

Have a good weekend Darlene !

  10. Thanks Opus, I find that my life is what I choose to make of it and I have an awesome time in almost everything I choose to do. I think that my photos are a reflection of me and my appreciation for life, every aspect of life. Have a fantastic weekend!

Rick isn't John Prine one of the best of the oldies? I love his most of his songs. We're blessed with this beautiful weather, I hope it stays for quite some time yet. I'd love to spend a day outdoors somewhere in this city taking photos, I guess that I'd best do it soon though. This province is a tad bit nuts as you well know, it can vary temperatures 40-50 degrees at the drop of a hat. Tis the season to dress in layers or keep that winter wear close by. Wishing you and your family a marvelous Thanksgiving and a fantastic weekend! I love that Abbie girl too! :-)
